PIPE THREAD SEALANT
Pipe thread sealant
is a soft-set, slow drying compound which seals,
lubricates, and protects threaded pipe and fittings. It can
be pressurized immediately
（15-30
minutes）
for piping up through M20 and 2 Mpa (for
natural gas, air and water only) and is ideal for
application with a wide variety of fluids and gases,
including potable water applications. Recommended for use on
threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum,
stainless steel, Not recommended for use with PVC, ABS pipe
or Oxygen.

sealant made from special inert fillers dispersed in a resin
base to facilitate its application to threaded pipe
connections.

HX186 Thread sealant
is a pipe jointing compound for all general work. It is
suitable for Natural Gas,
potable water, steam, air
(excluding medical lines), brine, alcohol and also L.P.
Gas.
HX186
complies with
MIL-S-46163
when used in conjunction with an approved reinforcing fibre,
as a sealing material for metallic threaded joints in
contact with 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases to 4Mpa and 70°C
and water up to 6Mpa and 130°C. It may be used alone on
pipe diameters up to 40 mm.
